Umar Riaz Breaks Silence On Asim Riaz-Himanshi Khurana Split Backlash: "It Was Hurtful..."

Reality TV star Umar Riaz has come out in support of his brother Asim Riaz amid the renewed discussion around Asim's past relationship with Himanshi Khurana. The conversation resurfaced after Himanshi recently spoke about their 2023 breakup and the challenges they faced due to religious differences. She later clarified that she had never accused Asim of forcing her to convert.

"What Happened This Time Was Really Sad..."

Reacting to the criticism directed at his brother, Umar said that Asim usually stays away from responding to controversies unless he feels it is necessary to clarify facts.

He shared, “Not everyone is going to like you, and you cannot please everyone. However, when people say things about you that are untrue, you have to defend yourself. Asim does not respond unless a situation reaches a point where he feels, ‘Now I have to make my point.' Otherwise, people might assume that whatever has been said about him is true.”

Speaking about the aftermath of the breakup, Umar added, “What happened this time was really sad. Everybody came out and started demeaning him, and that was hurtful. It makes you feel that perhaps you should not make your relationship public.”

"Asim is a Wonderful Person..."

Umar feels that people often overlook the positive aspects of a relationship and focus only on the difficult moments. He said, “Everybody goes through difficult times, but there must have been good moments in the relationship too. Why not talk about those as well? Asim is a wonderful person, and people love him.”

Praising his brother's growth over the years, Umar added, “The struggles he has faced over the past 10 years are things I have not experienced myself. Today, he is doing well and making music. A true artiste does not stand outside a gym waiting for the paparazzi to capture him working out. He goes into a room and comes out with his work after six months. And that's what he does. He has written songs for his partner about love and heartbreak.”

Different Paths, Different Perspectives:

According to Umar, their upbringing may be similar, but their professional journeys shaped them differently. While Umar works as a doctor and interacts with patients daily, Asim's experiences in the modelling industry exposed him to a more competitive environment. “Now, he does not feel the need to please anyone,” Umar said while reflecting on his brother's success.

"I Am Not In A Relationship..."

On the personal front, Umar revealed that he is currently single and has no plans to change that anytime soon. “I am not in a relationship and have not been in one for a long time. I have realised that relationships do not always last, and people often find themselves back where I am today. ... I am glad I chose to remain single,” he said.

Professionally, Umar was last seen in 'Date 2 Remember' and is currently pursuing a fellowship in cosmetic surgery while also exploring anti-ageing, fitness, and diet-related work.
