Asim Riaz Breaks Silence On Ex-Himanshi Khurana's Allegations: "Don't Use Religion As A Weapon..."

Reality TV star and rapper Asim Riaz has finally addressed recent remarks made by his ex-girlfriend Himanshi Khurana regarding religion and their past relationship. The controversy erupted after Himanshi, during a podcast appearance, spoke about discussions around faith during their relationship and revealed that religious differences played a significant role in their eventual breakup.

While Asim did not name Himanshi directly, he shared a strongly worded statement on social media, denying allegations that he ever pressured anyone to change their religion.

Asim Responds To Conversion Allegations:

Taking to Instagram, Asim wrote, "I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You've been in this shape only after meeting me before that, everyone knew how you looked. So please, don't use religion as a weapon. It's a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you're willing to go for attention."

He further stated that religion should not be used to create controversy or influence public perception about a personal relationship.

Asim Takes A Dig At Paras Chhabra:

Asim's note also appeared to target podcaster and former reality show contestant Paras Chhabra, who hosted the conversation with Himanshi. In his post, Asim criticized Paras and questioned his role in discussing other people's personal lives. He wrote, "And to the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession brother, respectfully, I'd suggest spending a little less time discussing other people's lives and a little more time in the gym."

The issue began after Himanshi spoke about reports suggesting that she had considered changing her religion while dating Asim. Explaining her side of the story, the actress clarified that she would not call it a conversion. According to Himanshi, her former partner introduced her to the values of his faith and wanted her to understand and respect them. However, she admitted that embracing those beliefs personally was difficult for her.

Reflecting on that phase of her life, Himanshi shared, "He used to tell me the good things about his religion. Everyone tells you about those things; there is nothing wrong with that. They wanted me to understand it and accept it, but it was not acceptable to me."

A Relationship That Ended Over Differences:

Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana first met on 'Bigg Boss 13' and soon became one of the show's most talked-about couples. After continuing their relationship outside the show for several years, the duo announced their separation in 2023. At the time, both acknowledged that religious differences had contributed to their decision to part ways, bringing an end to their nearly four-year-long relationship.
