Techno Gamerz Crosses 50 Million Subscribers, Marks a Major Milestone in Asian Gaming

Techno Gamerz, aka Ujjwal Chaurasia, has crossed the landmark milestone of 50 million subscribers on YouTube, cementing his position as one of Asia's biggest gaming creators. The achievement marks a defining moment in his journey and underscores the growing global influence of Indian gaming talent.

From borrowing phones to play games as a child to building one of Asia's largest gaming communities, Ujjwal's journey reflects years of consistency, experimentation, and creative evolution. He began creating gaming content in the mid-2010s, when India's gaming ecosystem was still in its early stages. Unlike many early creators who focused on a single title, he explored multiple games and formats, emerging as a versatile and engaging storyteller.

He was also among the early Indian gaming pioneers to create tutorial-based content for aspiring players, much before gaming education became mainstream on YouTube.

Reflecting on his early days, Techno Gamerz said, “From childhood, I had a love for gaming. I would borrow my brother's phone to play and spend hours on our family PC; those were my early days. Then I realised that people upload their gaming videos online. Back then, my friends thought I was a great gamer and often came to me for tips. Encouraged by that, I started making tutorial videos to help them.”

What began as a hobby gradually evolved into a full-time profession with the support of his brother, who encouraged him to launch his YouTube channel in August 2017 and helped him understand content monetisation. He later launched his second channel, Ujjwal, in January 2018, further expanding his digital presence.

Today, Techno Gamerz is widely recognised for his immersive, story-driven gameplay across popular titles such as GTA V, Minecraft, Ranch Simulator, Garena Free Fire, Red Dead Redemption 2, and PUBG. His inventive mod-based storytelling, distinctive voiceovers, and family-friendly persona have helped him build a deeply loyal audience across age groups and geographies.

Speaking about the milestone, he said,

“I am extremely grateful to my audience for helping me reach 50 million subscribers. This milestone feels surreal and is a reflection of the love and support I have received over the years. My goal has always been to create content that genuinely entertains and connects with people.”

The milestone comes at a time when the gaming industry across Asia is witnessing rapid expansion. According to Lumikai's State of India Interactive Media and Gaming Report FY24, prepared in collaboration with Google, the Indian gaming market is projected to reach $9.2 billion by FY29, highlighting the scale and momentum of interactive entertainment in the region. Techno Gamerz's growth mirrors this broader industry trajectory, reinforcing his standing as one of the most influential gaming creators in Asia today.
