Sunita Ahuja On Govinda's Alleged Affairs: "Why Should I Walk Away If I Love My Husband?"

Sunita Ahuja, who recently appeared on the reality show 'Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa', has opened up about her marriage with Govinda, her exit from the show, online trolling and allegations surrounding the actor's alleged affairs. In an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, Sunita shared her views on relationships, trust and why she chose to stand by her husband despite speculation around his personal life.

‘No One Can Take Chichi's Place In My Life':

Talking about her decades-long relationship with Govinda, whom she affectionately calls Chichi, Sunita emphasized the strength of their bond.

“For the last 40 years, I have always valued my marriage. A wife has a special place in a man's life, and no one can replace that. Similarly, no one can take Chichi's place in my life. We've been together since our younger days, and our bond is too strong to break.” She further revealed that Govinda came to meet her when he saw her upset after leaving the show.

‘Kaun Sa Hero Iss Industry Mein Doodh Ka Dhula Hai Batao':

Addressing allegations about Govinda's affairs, Sunita made it clear that her faith in her husband remains unshaken. “Why should I walk away if I love my husband? Kaun sa hero iss industry mein doodh ka dhula hai batao mujhe. No one in this industry is perfect.”

She added, “What truly matters is how much you love and trust your partner. I love my husband deeply, and I have complete faith in Chichi. Woh 50 jagah bhi jaaye mujhe pata hai woh mere paas he aayega.”

Sunita Takes A Dig At Shilpa Shinde:

During the interaction, Sunita also spoke about her experience on 'Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa' and claimed she was not interested in getting involved in unnecessary conflicts. “I'm not Shilpa Shinde to pick unnecessary fights,” she said, while adding that fellow contestants took good care of her during her stay on the show.

She further alleged that Shilpa Shinde and Shreya had a habit of provoking others and trying to create conflict inside the house.

Health Issues Led To Her Exit:

Sunita revealed that deteriorating health conditions played a major role in her decision to leave the show. She said stress and irregular meals affected her diabetes. “My diabetes also started getting worse because of the stress. I hadn't eaten, yet I had to take my diabetes medication,” she shared.

However, she clarified that despite her earlier criticism, the makers later ensured she received proper medical attention and dietary support.

On Being Trolled For Using Abusive Language:

Responding to criticism over her language on the show, Sunita defended her emotional reaction, saying it came at a time when she was physically and mentally exhausted.

“People questioned why I used abusive language, but don't women get angry too? Aur kaun se ghar mein gaali nahi dete?” she said. Sunita added that while she does not endorse abusive language, her remarks were made in a moment of anger and were not directed at the show's makers.

Despite the controversies, Sunita maintained that her priorities remain her family, her marriage and the unwavering trust she shares with Govinda after nearly four decades together.
