Recounting their proposal moment, Rubina says, "On the first day of the new year, fresh out of the shower, I looked at Abhinav and said, ‘I want to grow old with you.' He paused… and just said ‘Thank you.' Bas, that was it."

She added, "For months, I kept wondering if that was a no or a maybe. And then one fine day, out of nowhere, after almost 9 months, he says, ‘Me too.' That was his answer to my proposal, nine months later. That's just how we are — thoda hatke, thoda unpredictable, but very real. Our biggest panga is our difference of opinion. He's all logic and science; I'm full of emotion and creativity. But maybe that's what makes us click.”
