Raksha Bandhan is a super special day for us because it's the only day of the year when the two of us call a truce and there's peace in the Sukheja household. We make sure to keep it as traditional as possible, where she performs my Aarti, which I love, and she does her best to empty my bank account, which she loves.

Since we are two sisters, my younger sister ties a rakhi on me, and I wish her the same too. We always look out for each other and have each other's back no matter what. So on Raksha Bandhan, we make it a point to let each other know how special this bond is.

One thing that I love about Rakhsha Bandhan is that bittersweet feeling of having a sister you annoyed so much as kids before she got married that I can't do anymore. I have a whole treasure chest of memories and stories where I annoyed my sister to a level where it attracted a lot of terror stares from our parents. That would still be my number one suggestion to all readers out there - "Pareshaan karte rehna apni didi ko, Ek baar shaadi ho gayi toh fir mauka nahi milega." (Keep annoying your sister, because once she's married, you won't get the chance anymore).

Wishing a joyous and blessed Raksha Bandhan to all those celebrating this special bond between brothers and sisters!
