Nikki Tamboli On Backlash for Staying Back After Arbaz Patel's Elimination: "Commitment Is Not About Emotions..."

The finale of 'The 50' is fast approaching, and the contestants continue to grab attention with their actions in the show. In a recent episode, Arbaz Patel was evicted from the show after he allegedly got physical with Shiv Thakare during a heated argument. The clash reportedly happened after Nikki Tamboli claimed that Shiv and Prince Narula had made derogatory remarks about her when she re-entered the show. Arbaz got furious after he heard it, and the situation soon escalated into a physical fight, leading to his removal from the palace.

However, Nikki chose not to walk out with him and decided to continue on the show. Her decision sparked criticism online, with several users trolling her on social media. Now, Nikki has finally addressed the backlash and explained why she chose to stay back instead of leaving with her boyfriend, Arbaz Patel.

Nikki Tamboli Reacts To Social Media Backlash:

Nikki took to her Instagram handle and shared a long statement justifying her stance. In her note, Nikki Tamboli mentioned that people often fail to understand that when someone participates in a show like The 50, they do so with a certain level of commitment. Her note read, “Seeing so many people say I should have left the show when Arbaz got an exit order. But what people don't understand is that when you enter a show like this, you enter with a commitment. Walking out emotionally might look dramatic, but honoring your responsibility takes strength."

She recalled flying the next day for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi after her brother passed away because of the commitment. “When my brother passed away, I still flew the next day for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi because that's what commitment means to me. Emotions are real, but so is honoring your responsibility," she wrote.

Nikki further added, “Commitment is not about emotions. It's about knowing people will target you outside the house, narratives will be created, but you still choose to stand tall and honor the show." She even expressed disappointment over people misinterpreting her performance without being aware of the reality of her health condition. She revealed that she had recently recovered from dengue and was still experiencing fatigue, weakness, and exhaustion.

She continued, “Many people judged my performance without knowing the reality of what I was going through. I had just recovered from dengue, and my body was still dealing with constant fatigue, weakness, and exhaustion." Nikki added, “What people didn't understand was that I wasn't competing with anyone else in that house. My real competition was with myself, with my own strength, my own limits, and the battle my body was fighting every single day. Sometimes the toughest fights are not visible to the world. Showing up, standing there, pushing through the fatigue and refusing to give up was my real challenge."

She ended her post by stating, “My real victory was showing up when my body wanted to give up."
