Nikki Tamboli Defends BF Arbaaz Patel Amid Hug Controversy With Dhanashree Verma: "He Was Just Being Protective"

Arbaaz Patel has been facing criticism for his possessive nature towards Dhanashree Verma inside 'Rise and Fall'. Now, his girlfriend Nikki Tamboli will enter the house to support Arbaaz. In a new clip shared by Nikki Tamboli, she was seen entering the house to meet Arbaaz; seeing his girlfriend, Patel broke down in tears.

In the video, Nikki could be seen talking to Arbaaz and saying, “Mummy, papa, and dadi sab bohot khush hai. Number 1 contestant agar koi hai toh vo tum ho." While sharing the video, Nikki wrote, “Some partners lift trophies, the best ones lift you, in every game and every moment. Having someone who supports you behind your back and showers love is rare."

Earlier, a video of Nikki explaining to Arbaaz how Dhanashree is using him and doesn't care about him went viral. In the clip, Nikki was telling Arbaaz to play his game and not to care about anyone else.

Nikki Tamboli Defends Arbaaz Patel:

“Arbaaz comes from a reserved background. He hasn't been around girls who hug so closely, so his reaction came from a place of concern, not discomfort. He was just being protective and caring at that moment," she said, as quoted by The Times of India.

Nikki, who fell in love with Arbaaz inside the 'Bigg Boss Marathi 5' house, clarified that his behavior stemmed from sincerity. She added, “He was simply trying to look out for her. People need to understand his nature before jumping to conclusions."

Her statement was aimed at clearing up the misunderstanding for both viewers and contestants.

What Went Down Between Arbaaz Patel and Dhanashree Verma?

The controversy erupted after Arbaaz questioned Dhanashree about her habit of hugging fellow male contestants, especially Arjun and Aarush. “Tum kya seedha jakar hug karti ho? Arjun ko, Aarush ko? (Why do you directly hug Arjun or Aarush or others?)" he asked, showing discomfort with her choice to greet them with direct hugs.

Dhanashree then told him that it was her way of greeting everyone. Following this, Arbaaz suggested that she only give side hugs to others.

Dhanashree, known for her outspoken demeanour, responded, “Main side hug kabhi nahi karti, sabko front hug hi karti hoon. (I never give side hugs; I always give front hugs to people)."
