Mumbai Police Question Orry Over Massive 252 crore Drug Racket; Controversy Grows

The Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has summoned social media influencer Orhan “Orry” Awatramani for questioning in a ₹252-crore drugs investigation. Officials confirmed that Orry has been asked to appear before the ANC's Ghatkopar unit. So far, the police have not revealed any specific details about his alleged involvement, and the probe is still underway.

Why Orry's Name Came Up

Orry's name reportedly appeared in interrogation documents of Taher Dola, son of underworld don Salim Dola, who was recently returned to India under custody from the UAE. According to the remand application examined, Taher claimed that his father arranged drug fuelled parties in India and abroad. These parties were allegedly attended by several high-profile personalities and Bollywood celebrities.

Authorities believe that Salim Dola was supplying the synthetic drug mephedrone across 7–8 Indian states and exporting large quantities overseas.

Along with the ANC, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Mumbai Crime Branch are also investigating the network. Officials say more actors, influencers, rappers, and filmmakers may soon be called in for statements, and further legal action is possible.

Orry's Vaishno Devi Alcohol Case: 

Apart from this, Orry is also facing an FIR by the Jammu & Kashmir Police over alleged alcohol consumption at a hotel near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.

The case began after a video from early January 2024 went viral, showing Orry and friends at a Katra hotel where liquor was allegedly served despite strict restrictions in the pilgrimage zone.

Following public backlash, the Reasi Police registered a case under excise laws, questioned hotel staff, and took action against the establishment for allowing alcohol on the location. Authorities also stated that all individuals seen in the video—including Orry—would face legal inspections.
