Govinda's Wife Sunita Ahuja Opens Up About Their Relationship: "We Use Abusive Language..."

Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, has recently opened up about her relationship and revealed several hilarious details about how she and Govinda interact with each other.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, joined by their daughter, Tina Ahuja, Sunita reflected on her marriage. When questioned about her feelings regarding Govinda working with female co-stars, Sunita revealed that she and her husband do not share a typical 'husband and wife' dynamic. She stated, "Aaj tak bhi nhi lagta ki hum husband-wife hai. (Even today, I don't feel that we're man and wife.)" She also described their playful banter, saying, "Galiya galoch chalti hai humari. (We use abusive language with each other)." According to Sunita, she often jokingly questions whether Govinda is truly her husband, remarking, "Mujhey aaj tak vishwaas nhi hora tu mera pati hai. (I still can't believe you're my husband.)"

Sunita then spoke about men cheating on their wives and said, "I would like to fold my hands and tell women that don't ever say that your partner is innocent (doesn't cheat). If he does it, it will become so bad and no matter how hard you try to get rid of her, she won't leave him for years. Even if you leave him, that woman won't."

"I Had To Woo Him At Any Cost..."

Sunita also shared an anecdote from their early years when she transitioned from wearing miniskirts to sarees to respect Govinda's mother's preferences. Speaking on the Time Out with Ankit podcast, she recalled Govinda advising her, “Meri maa ko nahin jamega…Maine bola theek hai saree pehen lete hain ki farak padega. By hook or by crook patana to tha (He said my mother won't approve. I agreed to wear sarees because it didn't matter—I had to woo him at any cost)."
