Bhagyashree on Feminism: "Many Women Misunderstand The Concept..."

Bhagyashree has recently shared her take on feminism, stating that many women misunderstand feminism by equating it with rebellion. She believes that true feminism is about equal opportunities for both men and women to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Bhagyashree added that wearing less clothes or getting drunk simply because male counterparts do the same doesn't make one a feminist. She stated that women are inherent ‘caregivers', while men are ‘protectors' in the physical sense, and that these differences in qualities should be valued.

"I Don't Blame Only The Men..."

Speaking to Hauterrfly, Bhagyashree said, "Many women misunderstand the concept of feminism as something else. I don't blame only the men. I blame even the women. When you say that patriarchy has been going on for a long time and we want to rebel."

"How Is It Equality That You Give Abuses..."

She added, "So there have been these whole bra-burning women that go around, and they say we'll wear what we like, we'll talk how we want. But how is that equality? How is it equality that you give abuses, or wear less clothes, or misbehave or get drunk. Why? Because male counterparts do that. That doesn't make you a feminist."

"She Is A Caregiver..."

She further added that equality is about giving women and men equal opportunities in life to accomplish their dreams and their aspirations. She stated, "I feel that this has been lost in the bargain. There are certain qualities that God has given naturally to women. She is a caregiver, she is more nurturing, she is more sensitive, and she's also able to take a lot more than a man."

"A man is bigger and probably has more muscles because of his structure. He becomes the protector in the physical sense of it. So, these qualities you can nullify and learn to walk with each other, not compete with each other. That's why God made a couple," she concluded.
