Asim Riaz Issues Cease-And-Desist Notice To Bhavya Singh For 'False And Defamatory' Statements

The ongoing controversy surrounding Asim Riaz and his former girlfriend Himanshi Khurana has taken a legal turn. Asim has issued a formal cease-and-desist notice to influencer and 'Roadies' fame Bhavya Singh after she made allegations about him during a podcast appearance. The notice, sent through Advocate Suhail Shariff, Partner at Falcon Legal, describes Bhavya's statements as false, unverified, and damaging to Asim's reputation.

Podcast Claims Spark Controversy:

The dispute resurfaced after Bhavya Singh appeared on a podcast with Telly Chakkar and discussed the past relationship between Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana. During the conversation, Bhavya claimed that Himanshi possesses CCTV footage from a hotel allegedly involving Asim.

Speaking about the alleged footage, Bhavya said, “It's a CCTV footage of a hotel where he is pulling and pushing her in the lift and slapping her." Her remarks quickly gained attention online and reignited discussions surrounding the former couple's highly publicised breakup.

Himanshi's Earlier Allegations:

The latest controversy comes shortly after Himanshi Khurana spoke about her relationship with Asim during an appearance on Paras Chhabra's podcast. During the conversation, she addressed their breakup, religious differences, and alleged that she had experienced violence during the relationship.

Himanshi later reiterated on social media that she had evidence to back her claims. According to her, she possesses CCTV footage and recordings and is prepared to present them if required. She also referred to a specific incident from November 2023 while responding to Asim's comments regarding proof.

However, the alleged CCTV footage has not been made public, and the claims discussed by Bhavya have not been independently verified.

Asim Denies Allegations:

Asim Riaz has strongly denied the allegations made against him. He also rejected claims that he ever pressured Himanshi to change her religion. Responding to the accusations, Asim maintained that he had encouraged her to focus on fitness and personal growth during their relationship.

Following Bhavya's podcast statements, Asim decided to take legal action, asserting that the comments have negatively impacted his public image, reputation, and professional standing.

Legal Notice Demands Takedown:

Through Falcon Legal, Asim has demanded that Bhavya Singh immediately stop making or repeating any defamatory or legally actionable statements against him. The notice has also been sent to the concerned media outlets, seeking the removal of the podcast and related content.

Adv. Suhail Shariff, Partner at Falcon Legal, said, “Our client will not permit any defamatory or legally actionable statements against him. A formal cease-and-desist notice has been issued, and appropriate legal action shall follow in case of non-compliance."

The recipients have been given 72 hours to comply with the notice, failing which Asim's legal team may initiate proceedings before the competent courts and authorities. Asim has also reserved all legal rights and remedies available to him under the law.
