Ancient Stones, Modern Stories: A Day at Dimapur's Kachari Ruins
- Ancient Kachari Ruins (10th-13th century) reflecting Dimasa heritage
- Heritage-rich location, perfect for visual storytelling
- A meaningful stop on the Whosthat360 North East Influencer Yatra
Oriflame presents Whosthat360 Northeast Influencer Yatra, and trust me, this wasn't your typical “stand, pose, click” travel moment. As we moved through Nagaland, one stop quietly stole my attention: The Kachari Ruins in Dimapur. Fun, spontaneous, and deeply humbling all at once, this was history with serious main-character energy.
First Glimpse: Stones That Speak
Dating back to the 10th–13th century, the Dimasa Kachari Ruins sit right in the heart of Dimapur yet feel like a portal to another time. Massive mushroom-shaped stone pillars rise from manicured lawns; each carved with symbols that still refuse to reveal all their secrets. No plaques shouting explanations, just silence, stories, and imagination doing the work.
Walking With the Past:
As Jayveer Singh, Content Head at Whosthat360, and part of this Northeast Influencer Yatra, I've seen countless “heritage sites.” But this felt different. Maybe it was the open sky above the ruins, or the way time seemed to slow down between shots. While creators around me framed reels and stories, I found myself pausing, thinking about the Dimasa Kachari kingdom, once powerful, now remembered through stone.

A Creator's Playground:
Let's be honest, this place is gold for creators. Natural light? Perfect. Textures? Unreal. Angles? Endless. But what makes the ruins special isn't just content potential; it's presence. You don't use this space; you experience it. And that authenticity naturally reflects every frame.
Why the Kachari Ruins Matter Today:
In an age of fast travel and faster content, the Kachari Ruins remind us to slow down. They're not loud, not flashy, but deeply grounding. Being here during the Whosthat360 Northeast Influencer Yatra felt like aligning storytelling with soul.
The Kachari Ruins aren't just an archaeological site; they're a conversation between past and present. And for me, this wasn't just another stop on an itinerary; it was a reminder of why we travel, why we document, and why some stories deserve to be felt before they're shared.
