Allahabad HC Dismisses Elvish Yadav's Plea In Snake Venom Case

In a major legal development, the Allahabad High Court has dismissed Elvish Yadav's petition seeking the cancellation of the chargesheets and court summons issued in connection with the ongoing snake venom case. Justice Saurabh Srivastava, who presided over the matter, stated that due to the presence of multiple FIRs and serious allegations, the case warrants full examination during the trial process.

HC Dismisses Elvish Yadav's Plea:

The court clarified that Yadav's appeal specifically targeted the charge sheets and summons, not the FIRs themselves. Justice Srivastava claimed that these documents, being part of a broader investigative framework, cannot be dismissed prematurely.

Elvish Yadav's Legal Counsel Denies His Involvement: 

Yadav, a YouTuber and winner of 'Bigg Boss OTT 2', has consistently denied any involvement in the alleged illegal use of snake venom at a rave party. His legal counsel has argued that the charges are baseless, asserting that Yadav was not even present at the party in question. Furthermore, the defense claims that the complaint filed under the Wildlife Protection Act lacks substantial grounds and fails to directly implicate Yadav.

However, the prosecution maintains that snake venom was indeed recovered from the party venue. The case is expected to proceed to trial, where the charges and evidence will be closely scrutinized.

About the Case:

For those unfamiliar, it is alleged that snake venom and other illicit substances were discovered at a rave party in Noida, which was reportedly hosted by Elvish Yadav. According to the claims made by General Manish Goyal, Yadav is accused of orchestrating the event and encouraging attendees, including foreigners, to consume these dangerous substances.

Elvish Yadav was arrested by the Noida Police. The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. A week later, Yadav was granted bail on a 50,000-bail bond.
