Akanksha Choudhary Backs Ram Kapoor In Ongoing Kissing Row: "He Never Made Anyone Uncomfortable..."

The controversy surrounding Ram Kapoor's interactions with female contestants on 'Lock Upp 2' continues to spark debate online. However, former contestant Akanksha Choudhary has now spoken out in the actor's support, insisting that she never witnessed any behavior that made participants uncomfortable during their time on the reality show.

Recently evicted from 'Lock Upp 2', Akanksha addressed the ongoing discussion surrounding Ram Kapoor's habit of greeting female contestants with kisses on the forehead and cheeks, a gesture that has drawn criticism from some viewers after clips from the show went viral on social media.

Akanksha Defends Ram Kapoor:

Speaking about the issue, Akanksha said she understands that inappropriate incidents can occur in the entertainment industry and elsewhere, but maintained that Ram Kapoor's conduct was never problematic from her experience.

"Obviously, I agree that this happens a lot in the industry and outside. I am not saying anything for that. But because I was at home and I used to talk to Ram sir daily. And even in the secret room, I heard everything that Shreya used to say about Ram sir. And it was not like that at all. Ram sir did not make anyone uncomfortable," she said.

According to Akanksha, her interactions with Ram Kapoor throughout the show never gave her reason to question his intentions, and she felt his behavior was being viewed differently after the controversy gained attention online.

Shreya Kalra's Comment Resurfaces:

Recalling conversations inside the house, Akanksha shared an incident involving fellow contestant Shreya Kalra. She revealed that Shreya had once joked about Ram Kapoor's affectionate greetings while speaking with Shilpa Shinde.

"When I was in the secret room, I think Shreya had said in front of Shilpa Shinde that Ram sir kisses me more than my father. But then Shilpa ji said, 'No, no, he doesn't do it that way.'"

Akanksha further explained that Shreya herself had clarified that she did not mean the statement in an inappropriate context.

"So then she said, I remember this. We were having a conversation at the counter where we used to cook food. So she said, 'Yes, obviously, I am not saying it that way. I don't mean it that way. I am just saying that he does it again and again.' So she was very chill about it."

Lie Detector Task Added Fuel To The Debate:

Akanksha believes the situation escalated after the topic surfaced during a lie detector task that was secretly conducted by influencer Apoorva Makhija inside the show.

"But just then it came in the lie detector. And that was also fake. Later I found out that Apoorva was doing it. So seeing that, Shreya changed her stance and said ‘Yes, I told her yesterday, 'Don't touch me like this.'"

For those unaware, Ram Kapoor recently faced criticism after videos from 'Lock Upp 2' circulated online, with some viewers claiming that a few contestants appeared uncomfortable during his greetings. While the debate continues on social media, Akanksha remains firm in her belief that the actor never intended to make anyone feel uneasy.
