I want the world to be pet-friendly: Jasmin Bhasin

Street Dogs of Bombay shared good news for all animal lovers, which found vociferous support from actor and influencer Jasmin Bhasin.

The Street Dogs of Bombay put up an Instagram post informing followers of the new proposed amendment to ABC Rules 2022 notified by the government. The post claimed that RWAs are expected to make sure the [stray] animals in their vicinity are well-fed.

Strays have always been a contentious issue with RWAs and animal lovers. There have been reported instances of a quarrel with animal lovers on feeding stray dogs and cats. The new law will show a green flag on this kind act. Jasmin Bhasin, a dog mom to a Maltese named Rambo, welcomed this positive move.

"I'm very happy with the laws changing. As an animal lover, I'm waiting for the day when we can take pets in all shopping malls, restaurants...I want the world to be pet friendly as they are just innocent animals, who can't speak like us and want our love," she says.

Jasmin, however, feels this is just the beginning. "I am waiting for the day when people will be more friendly and understand that animals also have equal rights on this planet as much as we have. I also dream of India, as a country, becoming more pet friendly," she concluded.

Jasmin Bhasin is known for her love for animals and has often expressed her views on animal welfare.
