Recently, she has shared the recipe of Daliya (broken wheat) and Moong Khichdi, a perfect choice for you. This recipe is packed with protein and fiber and beneficial for muscle growth, also aids in digestion.

Daliya is a superfood that provides long-lasting energy and helps in keeping you full for longer periods of time. The combination of daliya and sabut moong in this dish creates a perfect balance of flavors and textures that will leave you feeling satisfied and nourished. Here is the recipe for this perfect dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup moong dal (Soaked for 2-3 hour)
  • 1 cup daliya
  • 2-3 cloves
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Ghee
  • Cumin and mustard seeds
  • Dry peanut
  • Asafoetida Powder
  • Garlic
  • 1 potato
  • Red chili
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Coriander powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Sweet corn and Green peas

Method:

  • Take 1 cup Broken Wheat & 1 cup Whole Moong both should be soaked for 2-3 hours.
  • Add 2 cups of water & salt as per taste.
  • Add 1 small Cinnamon Stick & 2-3 Cloves.
  • Pressure cook up to 3 whistles on medium heat & Keep it aside.
  • Further heat 1 spoon of Ghee in a pan.
  • Add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds, 1 tsp Cumin Seeds & Dry Peanuts.
  • Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder.
  • Then Add 2-3 finely chopped Garlic Cloves, 1 finely chopped small Onion & finely chopped Green   Chillies (as per taste).
  • Add Salt as per taste & 1 Potato, cut into pieces.
  • Cover the lid to cook potatoes.
  • Further add 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 2 tsp Coriander Powder, 1 tsp Turmeric Powder & 1 tsp Garam Masala.
  • Fry everything well & Add finely chopped veggies (Carrot, Capsicum & Tomato), boiled Sweet Corn & Green Peas
  • Let the veggies partially cook
  • Then add boiled daliya and moong
  • Mix everything together and cook for a while
  • Add finely chopped Coriander on top
  • Take Khichdi on a serving plate
  • Enjoy Scrumptious Khichdi with Dahi, Papad, Achar & Ghee
