YouTuber MrBeast Weds Thea Booysen; Shares Romantic Wedding Moments

YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Thea Booysen, in a private island wedding surrounded by close friends and family. The content creator shared the first glimpses of the ceremony on Instagram, delighting millions of fans across the world.

Posting a series of wedding photographs, Donaldson wrote, “I found MrsBeast” and described the occasion as the best day of his life.

A Special Celebration:

The wedding took place at Richard Branson's luxurious Necker Island and was attended by around 70 guests. The celebrations reportedly began on July 14 and stretched over a week, giving attendees plenty of time to enjoy island activities such as snorkelling and kitesurfing.

The intimate ceremony reflected the couple's preference for a close-knit celebration with their nearest friends and family members.

Who Is Thea Booysen?

Thea Booysen is a South African YouTuber and Twitch streamer known for her online content and academic achievements. She holds degrees in both law and psychology and has previously appeared in a couple of MrBeast's YouTube videos.

Following her marriage, Booysen has reportedly changed her name to Thea Donaldson.

For the big day, Thea looked stunning in a white wedding gown designed by Nicole + Felicia Couture. Donaldson complemented her elegant look by wearing a Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Her hair was styled by Mikey Lu, while stylist Jeremy Noig helped curate her bridal appearance.

A Romance That Led to Marriage:

The couple first met in South Africa in 2022. Recalling her first impression of the YouTube star, Booysen said, “When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was.”

She added, “I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he's actually a nice guy. He wasn't sitting there with an ego.”

Looking Ahead Together:

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' song “Die With a Smile.”

Speaking about married life, Booysen said, “It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality. Ever since we started dating we've been doing it with the goal of marriage.” She also praised Donaldson's efforts to make every guest feel welcome, adding that the experience made her love him even more.
