'The 50' winner Shiv Thakare has opened up about his equation with Prince Narula on the show, revealing it was not a friendship but a strategic alliance. His candid confession has drawn attention, especially as he described the bond as “jugaad" rather than genuine camaraderie.
Shiv Thakare on His Bond With Prince Narula:
Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Shiv made it clear that his understanding with Prince was purely tactical. He said, “Hamare alliance me dosti nahi thi, jugaad tha."
Shiv explained that while alliances were necessary inside 'The 50' house, they did not always translate into real friendships. According to him, the dynamics were driven more by survival in the game than by emotional bonds. He also shared that his real friendships inside the house were with other contestants. Rajat Dalal, Lovekesh Kataria and Lakshya Kaushik formed one close-knit group, while another group included Mr. Faisu, Adnaan Shaikh and Faiz Baloch. Among all, Shiv emphasised that the only true friend he found during the show was Dino James. In his latest Instagram post, however, Shiv gave a heartfelt tribute to Prince with a video featuring moments of them together. From meeting for the first time to finally becoming close to each other, Shiv shared the video and wrote, “Love you Prince Bhai #The50 #ShivThakare #PrinceNarula."

Prince Narula's Exit Was "Pre-Decided"
Shiv also addressed Prince Narula's sudden decision to step away from the show towards the end. He claimed that the move was not spontaneous but planned. According to Shiv, Prince, who has already won multiple reality shows and served as a gang leader on Roadies, joined 'The 50' with a different intent. He said Prince's participation was more about supporting the show and exiting gracefully rather than competing till the end.
Shiv described the move as calculated, adding that Prince's gameplay and eventual exit were a “smart move."
Shiv Thakare went on to win 'The 50', beating strong competition in the finale. Faisal Shaikh, popularly known as Mr. Faisu, finished as the runner-up, while contestants like Krishna Shroff and Rajat Dalal also made a strong impact. The finale, however, came with an unusual twist. The 50 lakh prize money did not go to Shiv but was instead awarded to a lucky fan who supported him throughout the show.
