Samay Raina Slams Sunil Pal, Calls Him Frustrated

Recently stand-up comedian Samay Raina Seen in a podcast. He reacted to the harsh criticism he received from senior comic Sunil Pal during last year's India's Got Latent controversy.

During The Longest Interview podcast with Vaibhav Munjal, Samay said he doesn't think much about Sunil Pal. He explained that when someone speaks badly about others, it often means they are dealing with their own issues or frustration. Samay added that he doesn't feel offended and instead feels bad, saying such behavior usually comes from a lack of peace and inner struggle.

“Criticism Comes From Insecurity,” Says Samay

Talking further, Samay Raina said that people who are mentally at peace don't try to disturb others. According to him, those who targeted him during the controversy were “frustrated in life.” He also pointed out that established names like Kapil Sharma did not speak against him, suggesting that calm and secure people usually stay away from unnecessary negativity.

Samay believes that criticism often comes from insecurity and people going through a tough phase in their own lives.

What Sunil Pal Had Said During The Controversy

During the controversy, Sunil Pal had strongly criticized Samay and Ranveer Allahbadia. He even called such comedians “terrorists” for using foul language and demanded strict action against them.

Sunil Pal, who became popular after winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, had said that such content creators should face serious punishment.

Interestingly, despite the strong words, Samay and Sunil later collaborated on an ad project, showing how things moved forward professionally.

In his special Still Alive, Samay Raina also took a dig at the situation. He mentioned how some people tried to gain attention during the controversy and joked about the timing of the criticism.

He also revealed that Kapil Sharma was expected to appear on an upcoming episode, adding another interesting angle to the discussion.

Samay ended on a lighter note by teasing the second season of India's Got Latent, hinting that there's more content coming soon.
