Sadhguru often shares home remedies to fight seasonal illnesses. And one of the remedies that has been going viral on social media is Amla-Honey-Pepper. According to Sadhguru, consuming 3 spoons of Amla-Honey-Pepper mix daily can help boost immunity and also help combat many other discomforts. In a video, he also shared the recipe along with its benefits.
How To Make Amla-honey-black Pepper Mix:
Ingredients: 3-5 amlas, 4 tbsp honey, and 1 tsp black pepper. Method: Cut and deseed them and then chop into mini chunks and transfer into a bowl. Crush black pepper in a mortar and pestle. Add the crushed pepper to the amla bowl. Now pour honey and mix well and keep it covered overnight.
How to Consume:
It has to be consumed three spoons, three times a day, advises Sadhguru. It works best when consumed on an empty stomach in the morning. If you do this for 4-8 weeks , one can see significant improvement of one's immune system.
Benefits of Amla:
Amla contains antioxidants and has antibacterial properties that help boost the immune system. It also nourishes body tissues and accelerates cell regeneration. It is also a rich source of vitamin C, which helps build the immune system and provides resistance against many diseases, especially those of the respiratory tract. It is proven that amla's rich antioxidant profile, including gallic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and phenolic compounds, help modulate immune function by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.

Benefits of Honey:
Honey is good for human blood. It also helps boost immunity and blood circulation. It has a beneficial impact on red blood cell count and it raises the hemoglobin levels too. Honey has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It is good for gut health and reduces constipation, bloating and gas. According to a study, honey has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and immunomodulatory properties, largely due to its content of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and polyphenols. These bioactive molecules help regulate inflammatory responses and enhance immune function.
Benefits of Black Pepper:
It is said to have compounds that boost blood cells and help the body fight off invading bacteria and viruses and boost the immune system. As per a study, the piperine compound found in black pepper has anti-inflammatory cytokines and antioxidant defenses, showing its potential in immune-mediated neurodegenerative diseases.
Why did Sadhguru undergo brain surgery?
Sadhguru underwent emergency brain surgery in March 2024 due to a life-threatening condition called intracranial hemorrhage, bleeding inside the skull. An MRI revealed both chronic and fresh bleeding in his brain, which led to severe swelling and caused the brain to shift to one side. The surgery was performed to remove the accumulated blood and relieve the dangerous pressure on his brain.
How does Sadhguru make money?
Sadhguru's income primarily comes through the Isha Foundation. Key sources include fees from yoga programs like Inner Engineering, sales of Isha Life products (such as Ayurvedic and lifestyle items), donations, major events and retreats, and royalties from his books.
