  • Says she was "terrified" while playing a Traitor
  • Urges fans to look at her entire journey, not just her role as a Traitor

Social media influencer Rida Tharana has addressed the criticism surrounding her victory in 'The Traitors' Season 2. Rida, who emerged as the winner alongside Krystle D'Souza, recently shared an emotional note explaining why her journey on the reality show should not be judged solely by her performance as a Traitor.

The influencer's statement comes after several viewers questioned whether she was a deserving winner following the season finale.

Rida Defends Her Journey:

Reflecting on her experience, Rida said her journey in the game was much bigger than the role she eventually played as a Traitor. She wrote, "One thing I hope people remember while watching my journey is that my game wasn't just about how I played as a Traitor."

According to Rida, she entered the competition as an Innocent and successfully navigated the game before her role changed. She also pointed out that she managed to identify a Traitor while playing as an Innocent, showcasing her strategic understanding of the game.

'I Was Terrified' During The Game:

Opening up about the challenges of becoming a Traitor, Rida admitted that the role pushed her emotionally and mentally. She shared, "Was I the most fearless Traitor? Absolutely not. I was terrified. I struggled with lying. I cried. I questioned myself. There were moments where the game genuinely got the better of me emotionally."

The influencer explained that viewers witnessed two very different sides of her personality throughout the season. While she described herself as ambitious and strategic as an Innocent, becoming a Traitor exposed a more vulnerable and emotional side.

Looking Beyond The Traitor Role:

Rida urged viewers not to evaluate her entire performance based only on the latter part of the game. She emphasized that her victory represents every stage of her journey, including her successes, mistakes, emotional struggles, and growth throughout the competition.

She further wrote, "And somewhere between being an Innocent and becoming a Traitor, making good decisions and bad ones, trusting people, betraying people, breaking down and still continuing to play... I made it to the end." Addressing those questioning her victory, she added, "I don't think my win belongs only to the Traitor I became."

A Memorable Season Finale:

'The Traitors' Season 2 kept audiences hooked with its mix of strategy, deception, alliances, and psychological mind games. In the end, Rida Tharana and Krystle D'Souza emerged victorious, but the finale also sparked debate among viewers about gameplay and deserving winners.

Despite the criticism, Rida remains proud of her journey, insisting that her win reflects not just one version of herself, but every version that survived the intense competition and made it to the finish line.
