Rajat Dalal Denies Dating Rumours With Chahat Pandey: "We Are Just Friends..."

Since their appearance on 'Bigg Boss 18', Rajat Dalal and Chahat Pandey have consistently grabbed attention, not just for their time on the show but also for the ongoing buzz around their equation. Their noticeable chemistry on screen sparked widespread speculation among fans, leading many to believe there might be something more than friendship between them. However, despite the constant chatter and curiosity surrounding their bond, both Rajat and Chahat have time and again clarified that they are not romantically involved, firmly dismissing all dating rumours. In a recent interview, Rajat opened up about the ongoing speculation, addressing the rumours at length. He spoke candidly about his equation with Chahat, offering clarity on their bond while also reacting to the much-talked-about ‘sister' remark that has been making headlines.

Rajat Dalal on His Bond With Chahat Pandey:

While speaking to The Free Press Journal, Rajat shared that the dynamics inside The 50 Palace were constantly evolving, which is why his bond with Chahat was never the main highlight of his journey. He reflected on how viewers interpreted their chemistry outside the show but made it clear that there was no romantic angle involved, firmly shutting down any such speculations. He said, “Chahat got eliminated around the 10th or 12th day – I'm not exactly sure. I exited the show much later. By then, the narrative around Chahat and me had already died down, and the focus had shifted more towards the Rajat VS Prince angle. At the time when I was active in the show – my screen presence, my storyline – there were other major aspects, and Chahat was only a small part of that. The Prince angle had become much bigger. If the Chahat aspect had been the dominant narrative, then maybe I would have had more to say about it, but that wasn't the case."

"We Are Just Friends, Nothing More Than That..."

He further added, “As far as Chahat and I are concerned, there has never been anything romantic between us. She has said this multiple times, and so have I. People like our chemistry, and that's a good thing. It's just natural; neither she nor I is doing anything deliberately. It's just how we are. But beyond that, we are just friends. Nothing more than that."

"I Never Called Her My Sister..."

Rajat also opened up about the moment he referred to Chahat as his ‘sister' in a video after Bigg Boss. Clarifying his stance, he distanced himself from that remark while explaining the context in which it may have surfaced at the time. He further added that since the show ended, he has had minimal contact with Chahat, indicating that they are not really in touch anymore. He said, “I never called her my sister. If Chahat has said that, then show me where, and if she has, you should ask her about it. I don't consider Chahat my sister, nor do I address her that way. But yes, at one point, there was a lot of unnecessary hate around things, and just to make sure nobody said anything inappropriate or crossed a line. That angle was put out by me to remove any unwanted involvement. Honestly, I haven't even met Chahat properly after the show. I met her on ‘The 50' for the first time since Bigg Boss."

He shared that even now, things feel the same as they did back then, with nothing really changing over the past year. He added that he genuinely wishes her well in life while remaining focused on his own journey. He also expressed that, as far as he sees it, they are unlikely to meet again. According to him, there is no unnecessary communication between them, no plans to catch up, and he doesn't make random trips to Mumbai either.
