Pranit More Opens Up About Being Bullied For His Skin Color: "I Used to Feel Very Bad"

Stand-up comedian and 'Bigg Boss 19' contestant Pranit More has recently opened up about facing discrimination because of his skin colour and poured his heart out in front of friend Ashnoor Kaur, who was saved by him in the recent eliminations. He said that he was made to feel inferior because of his dark skin and was bullied for it. He stated, “Tabhi mujhe bohot bura lagta tha ke yaar yeh cheez toh mere haanth mein thi bhi nahi. Uss cheez ke liye mujhe kyon bolrahe hain."

Pranit More on Being Bullied for His Skin Tone:

Speaking about his comedic approach, he explained that he consciously avoids making jokes about anyone's skin tone or body, as such remarks can deeply affect a person's confidence. He added that this is the reason he refrains from taking similar digs even inside the 'Bigg Boss' house. “Kyuki mujhe pata ke woh cheez tumhe kitni hurt hosakti hai," added More.

Pranit also reflected on his school and college years, admitting that he wasn't fluent in English at the time and often grappled with a lack of confidence because of it. He recalled how his peers would occasionally mock him for it. He shared with Kaur, “People would make you feel that if you don't know English, you know nothing and then would comment on your looks too."

Pranit Opens Up About His Transformation:

Talking about how this phase transformed him, he said that he only later understood why he had leaned so heavily into humour. At the time, he felt that if he wasn't funny, he had nothing else to offer, and that fear pushed him towards wrong behaviour. He explained that he would often make sharp or hurtful remarks first, simply to protect himself, believing that if he didn't speak up, others would target him instead. However, with time, Pranit began to realise how similar he was to the very people he thought were different from him. He understood that he was repeating the same patterns he resented in others, and that awareness eventually pushed him to stop behaving that way. He asserted, “If I can't appreciate others, then I'm also like them."

For the unversed, Pranit More was evicted from 'Bigg Boss 19' on medical grounds but returned to the house soon after his recovery. In the most recent Weekend Ka Vaar, he played a pivotal role in the elimination task, where he opted to save Ashnoor, a move that eventually led to Abhishek Bajaj and Neelam Giri being eliminated from the game.
