Gauahar Khan Calls Nikhil Chinapa 'Ignorant' for Menopause Comment, Demands Apology

Gauahar Khan has strongly criticised Nikhil Chinapa over a remark he made while responding to her comments about his gameplay on the reality show 'Alliance'. Calling the statement insensitive and uninformed, Gauahar said Nikhil's response reflected a lack of understanding about menopause and perimenopause and was dismissive of women's opinions.

The controversy began after Gauahar publicly questioned Nikhil and Mini Mathur's conduct on the show, alleging that they were not giving contestants, including her husband Zaid Darbar, a fair chance in the game.

Gauahar Reacts To Nikhil's Comment:

Taking to Instagram, Gauahar shared a series of videos expressing her disappointment over Nikhil's remarks. She said it was surprising to see such comments coming from someone with life experience, education, and exposure.

She said, "I feel so sad for them that they don't even know the basics of how sensitive this issue called menopause and perimenopause is and what women go through. And for someone like Nikhil Chinapa to mention that as a comeback to my viewpoints of him as a player... it's shocking."

Gauahar further clarified that her criticism was directed solely at Nikhil's gameplay and not at him personally. She added, "I'm so glad that Zaid went inside and told Nikhil that I was fond of him. I still am. I think he's a great guy. I think he has a great personality and an amazing body of work. I have utter respect for him."

"Please Be Sensitive To Women..."

Questioning why her opinion was linked to menopause or perimenopause, Gauahar said such assumptions were unfair and offensive.

She stated, "For your information, I've had a baby nine months ago, so clearly I'm not going through menopause or perimenopause. Get your facts right and please be sensitive to women when you're putting them in a category like that. Disgusting."

The actor also stressed that women experiencing menopause or perimenopause should never feel that their views are less valid because of a natural stage of life. She added that Nikhil owed an apology "to your wife and the women in your life" for failing to recognise the sensitivity of the issue.

What Nikhil Said:

In an interview with Telly Masala after his eviction from 'Alliance', Nikhil responded to Gauahar's criticism by saying, "Maybe Mini will know more about this because she deals a lot with menopause and perimenopause. So maybe she may have some insights on why Gauahar said whatever she said."

His comment has since sparked a debate online, with Gauahar's response drawing significant attention from fans and viewers of the show.
