Dipika Kakkar Health Update: Two New Cysts Found, Actor To Start Immunotherapy Soon

TV actor Dipika Kakkar, who has been battling liver cancer for almost a year, has shared a latest health update. In a recent vlog with her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, the couple revealed that two new small cysts were seen in her latest MRI scan.

Doctors Advise Monitoring As Cysts Are Very Small

Shoaib explained that the cysts are extremely tiny, almost like dots, and cannot be treated right now. Doctors have suggested regular monitoring. He also said that these cysts were only visible in MRI because it is more sensitive than a CT scan.

Dipika added that no action can be taken at the moment, and she will repeat the scan after a month. She shared that regular scans have now become a routine to catch any problem early.

Immunotherapy To Start From This Week

Shoaib revealed that Dipika will begin immunotherapy this week. Doctors have recommended this treatment, and she will need to visit the hospital every 20 days, with each session lasting around 4 to 5 hours. He added that the condition is not very serious right now, but they will continue to monitor it closely.

Past Health Struggles And Surgeries

In May last year, Dipika was diagnosed with a large tumor in her liver and underwent surgery. Earlier this year in March, another cyst appeared, which was also treated with surgery.

Illness Affecting Family Life

The couple also spoke about how this situation has affected their personal life. Dipika shared that their son Ruhaan has been feeling ignored due to frequent hospital visits. She said he sometimes shows anger to get their attention, and it is important to give him more love during this time.

Shoaib added that he could not upload vlogs recently because of constant hospital visits. Dipika also shared that long hospital days leave her physically and mentally tired.

Lifestyle Changes And Weight Loss

Shoaib revealed that Dipika has lost around 2 kg in the past month as she is following a strict diet and lifestyle. He said she has already changed 75-80% of her routine. However, he advised people not to follow their diet blindly and to always consult a doctor.
