Digital creator Bhagyashree Sharma, popularly known as Bhagya Bro, is set to step into the OTT space with ZEE5's upcoming cooking comedy reality show ‘Maa Hai Na'. Known for her relatable Assamese comedy content and strong Gen Z appeal, Bhagyashree's transition from social media to long-format entertainment marks a significant milestone in her evolving career.
From Digital Fame to Reality Television:
With a following of over 1.3 million, Bhagyashree has built her identity through short-form, relatable content. Her entry into a non-fiction OTT format allows her to explore a new dimension of storytelling while reaching a wider national audience. The show pairs her with her mother, offering viewers a glimpse into their personal bond beyond social media.
Speaking about the experience, she shared, “My mom and I don't really get to spend a lot of time doing activities together, so cooking felt like a way for us to bond more. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and this show made the experience really special for us.”

A Fresh Format Blending Food, Family, and Fun
Hosted by Shilpa Shetty Kundra, ‘Maa Hai Na' is a 10-episode reality series that brings together six Gen Z celebrities along with their mothers or kids. The format blends cooking challenges with humour, emotional moments, and real-life relationships, highlighting the contrast between modern youth culture and traditional maternal wisdom.
For Bhagyashree, the show also served as an opportunity to step outside her comfort zone. Reflecting on her new journey, she added, “This felt like a great opportunity to explore a new side of myself and connect with audiences beyond social media.”
A New Chapter Begins
Produced by Lil Frodo Productions House, the series aims to present celebrities in an unfiltered light, capturing candid interactions and everyday kitchen chaos. For Bhagyashree Sharma, ‘Maa Hai Na' not only marks her reality debut but also signals her growing presence in mainstream entertainment, expanding her reach far beyond digital platforms.
