Anshula Kapoor Opens Up About Her Dark Circles Struggle: "It's In My Genetics..."

Social media personality Anshula Kapoor has become a fan-favourite character on the reality OTT show 'The Traitors'. Hosted by Karan Johar, 'The Traitors' is an Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed series of the same name. The series features 20 celebrity contestants, including Anshula, who participated in the show alongside her aunt Maheep Kapoor.

Anshula Kapoor Opens Up About Her Dark Circles Struggle:

Since the premiere of 'The Traitors', Anshula has been candid about the show on social media, as she often shares behind-the-scenes stories with her followers. She posted a throwback video from the show where former contestant Raftaar was seen pointing fingers at Anshula and calling her a traitor. “Anshula ki taraf gaur karo, uske dark circles badhte ja rahe hain (Focus on Anshula, her dark circles are getting worse)," the rapper argued.

Anshula collaged that clip from the show with pictures of herself growing up, pointing out the fact that she has had dark circles since the age of five. She also wittily captioned the video, stating, “When your dark circles are bigger than your friend circle."

"It's In My Genetics..."

Later she opened up about her struggle with dark circles and said, “Mere genetics hain, main paanch saal ki thi tabse mere dark circles hain. Mere hamesha honge, laser kar chuki hoon woh nahi jaa rahe aur mujhe makeup karna nahi aata (It's in my genetics. I have had dark circles since the age of 5, and I will always have them. I have tried laser treatment, but they don't go away, and I don't know how to do makeup."

Soon after sharing the video, her followers started to show support in the comment sections. One follower mentioned, “Never related this much with someone in dark circles! So true." Another one commented, “Sooo savage!! More power to you." Anshula's fellow Traitor, Elnaaz Norouzi, also took the comments to show her support, as she wrote, “Awww, cutie circles."

This was not the first time Anshula had been seen advocating for body positivity. Previously, she opened up about her insecurities, health issues, and mental well-being. Anshula is the daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the sister of Arjun Kapoor. Unlike her family, Anshula did not choose to be in the spotlight, as she runs her own business. She is the founder of Fankind, a Mumbai-based fundraising platform that connects fans with celebrities and charities.
