Ganesh Chaturthi begins at Dr. Jai Madaan's Jor Bagh residence with a celebration that is soulful, sustainable, and community-driven. The three-day festival opens with Ganesh Sthapna and Puja, where media professionals, cultural storytellers, and devotees come together in an uplifting atmosphere of devotion, heritage, and inclusivity.
A Peek into Jai Madaan's Ganpati's Celebrations:
In keeping with the eco-conscious spirit, this year's celebration discourages traditional river immersion of Ganesh idols, which often pollutes water bodies with plaster, paint, and chemicals. Dr. Jai Madaan has actively run a campaign educating devotees on how to perform visarjan at home or in controlled environments using natural, biodegradable materials. Through this initiative, she encourages people to preserve water bodies, plant trees, grow home gardens, and adopt eco-friendly practices, reflecting a devotion that nurtures both nature and the divine.
Jai Madaan Chooses Eco-Friendly Decor:
The highlight of this year's celebration is its eco-friendly décor crafted entirely from fruits and vegetables. From corn and coconut shells to dragon fruits, bananas, pumpkins, gourds, and other natural produce, every element is chosen to reflect harmony with nature, avoiding plastic or artificial materials. The idea extends far beyond visual beauty. After Ganesh Visarjan on August 29, the décor transforms into a Fruit Salad, with all produce lovingly distributed to street children and the underprivileged, turning worship into an act of giving back to society.

Here's What Jai Madaan Has to Say:
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jai Madaan says, "Every fruit, every vegetable in this décor carries a message that devotion can exist in complete harmony with nature. This celebration is proof that traditions become even more beautiful when celebrated sustainably."
She added, "The true blessing of Lord Ganesha is in sharing. After the Visarjan, this décor of fruits and vegetables turns into a Fruit Salad, so that children on the streets receive both nourishment and joy from the festival."
Guests also receive thoughtfully curated gifts from Siddhhi Arts as a token of gratitude, adding warmth to the spiritual setting. This specially curated celebration continues as more than a festival; it is a cultural expression of devotion, sustainability, and compassion, setting an example of how India's most cherished traditions can be celebrated with consciousness and inclusivity.
