In a recent conversation with Tweak India, she opened up about the small everyday habits that help her stay fit, focused, and naturally glowing.

A Wellness‑First Morning Ritual:

Sania's day begins with a punchy wellness shot rather than a conventional breakfast. Her blend, turmeric, honey, lime, black seeds, and ginger, isn't the most palate‑friendly; she laughs, but she swears its anti‑inflammatory and immunity‑boosting benefits. This is followed by soaked chia seeds for hydration and fiber, plus her must‑have morning coffee before hitting the gym.

Eggs remain in her morning staple, mostly whites, with three to four making it to her plate on most days. As someone who spent years training at peak intensity, Sania says the biggest shift in post‐retirement has been cutting down on carbs. With her activity level now at “about 20 percent” of her competitive days, she focuses on protein‑heavy meals that keep her full and energized without the sluggishness.

A Flexible, Sustainable Fitness Routine:

Sania's workouts today are strength‑driven but adaptable. While Pilates has taken a backseat due to time constraints, she stays committed to weight training for muscle health and metabolism. Outdoor runs, usually 5 to 7 km, are her favorite way to unwind, especially when the weather cooperates. The mix of gym work and outdoor cardio helps her maintain functional strength while keeping fitness enjoyable.

Skincare That's Intentional, Not Indulgent:

Off court, Sania has embraced an elaborate Korean skincare routine, 10 steps in the morning and 10 at night. But despite the layers, she says two products matter most: a good moisturizer and sunscreen. A more recent addition to herself‑care ritual is red‑light therapy, which she uses every alternate day. It has noticeably improved her skin texture and even boosted hair health.
