It's no secret how influencers and creators receive countless gifts day in and day out. It can become overwhelming when they are criticized for hoarding!

Sidhi Kapoor spoke to global mom influencer Harpreeth Suri, also known as @momwearsprada, about her thoughts on this topic. For the uninitiated, Harpreeth is known for her relentless support and contributions to society and the environment. Her ongoing efforts to encourage her audience to shop her preloved wardrobe are quite popular as well.

"I receive a lot of gifts in my line of work, but there are many things I don't require. Whenever a brand or agency reaches out to me with a gift, I always inquire about its purpose. If I believe in the cause, I'm more than happy to promote them on my social media without accepting gifts, as I sometimes don't need them or have a use for them," says Harpreeth.

In support of sustainability, Harpreeth established the 'Mom Wears Prada Foundation' a few years ago. She advocates for reusing, reviving, or even giving gifts and PR packages to those in need.

"There are times when the brand also encourages me to donate these gifts to NGOs. Sometimes, I give them to my cousins, friends, family, and followers through giveaways. The outfits that the brand sends me and the outfits I purchase for my work profile are hardly repeated, as I don't want to hoard or waste them. So, I offer my outfits at one-tenth of the price on my social media handle @momswearprada foundation, and the proceeds I collect from them are distributed to the NGOs I support in various forms during Christmas and Diwali. I feel that bringing joy to someone who needs and will make good use of it is more fulfilling for me," she concludes.
