Deepak Thakur was born on 24 march at Athar village, Buxar district, Bihar in a middle class agricultural Hindu family. His father Pankaj thakur is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. Deepak also has a brother, Saket Thakur and two sisters, Jyoti thakur and Deepika thakur. He is unmarried as of now. His girlfriend is Urvashi Vani with whom entered the season 12 of the reality show Big Boss in september 2018. Initially, Deepak used to sing at small functions, ceremonies and gatherings but 2012 proved to be a turning point of his life, as music director sneha khanwalker noticed him and game him a chance to sing a song "Humni ke chhodi ke" for the film Gangs of Wasseypur- part 1. With success, Deepak began singing for bollywood movies. He sang bollywood songs like moora-morning(gangs of wasseypur- part 2,2012) and Adhura Main (Mukkabaz, 2018).
