- He describes the post-Diwali struggle
Diwali is over, and as much as we enjoy the festival, moving on is more difficult. Yuvraj Dua, a well-known comedy content creator, recently shared a video in which he sarcastically described how difficult it is to return to normal life after Diwali. His humorous view on the topic has compelled many people to agree with him.
The Diwali Hangover
Yuvraj begins his video by asking the most important question: "What is the most difficult thing about Diwali?" According to him, it is simple—moving on from Diwali itself.
So much love is brought by Diwali: food, family time, shopping, gifts, and of course, the lights and celebrations. After all the excitement, we feel like we've stepped into a completely different world. But when the celebrations are over, it's hard to move on from the festive mood.
He explains comically how our bodies have worn off the comfy kurta pajama and dressed up in a t-shirt and jacket, but the soul is still stuck in that festive outfit. Even though we are eating healthy salads now, the taste of Kaju Katli and Chocopie still lingers on our tongues. We try to get back to work, but it feels impossible because our minds are still at the Diwali party.
The Work Pile-Up
Another thing Yuvraj mentions is that there is a mountain of work that piles up during the festival. During Diwali, we always tell ourselves, "We will take care of this after Diwali. All those works are now lined up outside the house."
The Humble Request
At the end of his video, Yuvraj Dua makes a simple, yet funny, request. He says workplaces should give people at least 7 days of recovery time after Diwali. Just imagine, only a week to slowly get back into the grind, and transition from the joy of the festival of Diwali to routine.
