Making my Cannes debut feels incredibly emotional because it reflects 10 years of dedication, discipline, and believing in myself through every phase. Representing India on such a global stage as the first dance creator at Cannes is truly an honour and a moment I'll always cherish.

You're bringing dance to the red carpet. How special is that for you?

It's very special because dancers are usually celebrated for performances, not moments like these. Walking the Cannes red carpet as a dance creator feels like opening doors and creating visibility for the entire dance community.

What inspired your Cannes looks and performance concept?

My Cannes vision was inspired by Indian dance, storytelling, and iconic performers like Madhuri Dixit. I wanted every detail to reflect emotion, movement, culture, and my identity as an artist.

How are you blending fashion and movement on a global stage?

My Cannes look blends fashion and movement through storytelling inspired by dance. The trail of my outfit features different embroidered dance poses, and the colours of the look match my brand NKD Studios, making it feel very personal to my journey and identity as a creator.

You've mentioned cultural storytelling. What story are you telling at Cannes?

I'm sharing the journey of a girl from Dubai who started by posting dance videos online and slowly built her dreams through consistency and hard work. Representing India, dance, and my own brand at Cannes makes that journey feel incredibly meaningful.

Which icon inspired your Cannes vision the most?

Madhuri Dixit inspired me the most because of her elegance, expressions, and timeless connection with dance. She represents the beauty of performance and storytelling in such an iconic way.

How does it feel to represent the dance community internationally?

It feels very emotional because dancers and entertainers deserve representation on global platforms, too. I hope this moment inspires more artists to believe their talent belongs on every stage in the world.

One message for dancers who dream of going global like you?

Keep showing up even on the days nobody notices your effort. Hard work, patience, and consistency can slowly turn your biggest dreams into reality.
