Meghalaya's long-awaited season has finally arrived, and Abhimanyu Singh Dalal has crafted a splendid 7-day itinerary to make the most of this beautiful region. On the first day, the journey begins in Guwahati, and after a relaxed start, travelers will rest and take in the scenic beauty of Umiam Lake.
Abhimanyu's 7-day Meghalaya Trip:
Day 2 offers an adventurous twist as participants embark on a bamboo trek in Sohra Cherrapunji. While there's no need for a guide, carrying a water bottle is crucial due to the limited water sources along the route. Over the next two days, the focus shifts to water explorations, including visits to Nohkalikai, Wei Sodawg, and many other stunning waterfalls.
Day 5 takes a different turn with cave explorations, followed by a visit to Mawlynnong Village, renowned as Asia's cleanest village. The adventure continues as travelers explore the Indo-Bangladesh border fence and marvel at Asia's cleanest river, Umngot, in Dawki. On the last day, a trip to Krangsuri Waterfalls concludes the journey, returning to Shillong and then finally to Guwahati.
