- Temple visit comes days after conversion rumours
- Uorfi recently denied changing her religion or name
Uorfi Javed is once again in the spotlight, but this time, it is not for her unconventional fashion choices. The social media personality recently visited the revered Kamakhya Devi Temple in Guwahati and shared glimpses of her spiritual journey with followers on Instagram.
Dressed in traditional attire, Uorfi posted a series of photographs from the temple premises. With folded hands and vermilion on her forehead, she appeared immersed in the experience. Keeping her caption simple, she wrote, “Visited Kamakhya Devi temple in Guwahati.”
While the post was intended to document a personal moment, it quickly drew attention because it came just days after she addressed rumours surrounding her faith and identity.

Setting The Record Straight:
Recently, social media was flooded with claims that Uorfi had converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Rita Bhardwaj. The rumours gained traction after a journalist shared a video alleging the same while also making comments about her public image and fashion choices.
Uorfi was quick to dismiss the reports. Taking to Instagram Stories, she clarified that there was no truth to the allegations. She firmly stated that she had neither changed her name nor embraced any religion. In her response, she also questioned the spread of unverified information and highlighted the importance of fact-checking before making public claims.
Her clarification was widely discussed online, with many supporting her decision to directly address the speculation.
A Controversy That Did Not End There:
The matter escalated further when Uorfi shared screenshots of messages that she claimed were sent to her by the same content creator after she publicly responded to the rumours.
According to the actor, the messages were disturbing enough that she chose not to post them in their entirety. She also alleged that the video containing the claims was later deleted and that the creator blocked her on social media.
As is often the case with Uorfi, the episode generated significant discussion online, once again placing her at the centre of a larger conversation about misinformation and online accountability.
Faith, Devotion, and Public Curiosity:
Interestingly, this is not the first time Uorfi has made headlines for a temple visit. Last year, she visited Mumbai's Babulnath Temple, where she climbed the steep staircase on her knees as an act of devotion.
Whether she is making a bold style statement, challenging misinformation, or sharing deeply personal moments, Uorfi continues to keep audiences engaged. Her recent visit to Kamakhya Temple offers a glimpse into a quieter side of her life, proving that beyond the social media headlines, she remains someone who values personal experiences and spiritual reflection.
