Highlights
  • Tanya Mittal slams 'sasti copy' remark
  • Calls comparison 'cheap, sexist commentary'
  • Opens up about struggles and online trolling

'Bigg Boss 19' fame Tanya Mittal has strongly reacted to a journalist who reportedly referred to her as a “sasti copy” of 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' star Shalini Passi and suggested that she only flaunts her wealth. The entrepreneur and content creator took to Instagram Stories to express her disappointment, calling the remark “cheap, sexist commentary.”

Tanya said the criticism was not only disrespectful but also reflected a larger issue of women being judged instead of being recognised for their achievements and hard work. She questioned why a media platform would use such language while talking about a woman.

In one of her posts, she wrote, “How can a media platform speak about a woman like this? Height of shamelessness. Calling a woman a “Sasti copy isn't journalism-it's cheap, sexist commentary. I am not @shalini.passi. I am Tanya Mittal. And my journey is my own."

Sharing Her Side Of The Story:

The reality show contestant also opened up about the personal struggles that shaped her journey. Tanya revealed that her path to success was far from easy and involved making difficult decisions at a young age.

According to her, she walked away from her education nearly a decade ago and chose a different future for herself despite opposition from her family. Tanya said she did not want an early marriage to define her life and instead decided to pursue her ambitions independently.

She emphasized that people often comment on her success without understanding the sacrifices and challenges she faced to build her career.

Looking Back At Years Of Criticism:

Tanya also reflected on the trolling and criticism she has endured over the years. Recalling her early days as a content creator, she said her efforts were often mocked rather than appreciated.

She wrote, “I started making temple videos because I wanted to share and celebrate our culture instead of support. I was mocked. I was trolled, opportunities I had worked so hard for slipped away from my hands. I went to Bigg Boss, and the entire country seemed to turn against me. Not one person stood up for me. Not one voice spoke in my defense, and yet. I endured it all and still here I am."

Moving Forward Despite Challenges:

Despite the criticism, Tanya maintains that perseverance has helped her overcome setbacks and keep moving forward. The influencer, who finished fourth on 'Bigg Boss 19', is now preparing for her acting debut in an upcoming Ektaa Kapoor production.

With her latest posts, Tanya has made it clear that she wants to be recognised for her own achievements and journey rather than being compared to anyone else.
