Rubina Dilaik Opens Up About Parenting Twins; Thanks Abhinav Shukla for Constant Support

Rubina Dilaik recently opened up about the emotional and physical challenges she faced while participating in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. While the high-risk stunts tested her strength and determination, she revealed that being away from her husband Abhinav Shukla and their twin daughters for over a month was even more difficult.

The actor shared how her family's support helped her navigate the demanding reality show and balance motherhood with her professional commitments.

Time Away From Family:

Rubina spent nearly 40 days away from home while shooting for 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Recalling the experience, she admitted that the emotional separation from her loved ones was tougher than performing the stunts.

She said, “I only disconnected during the stunts. Those five to ten minutes were a complete break from the world. But the 40 days away from my daughters and Abhinav were harder than the stunts. I hadn't expected it to affect me so much. I thought I'd manage. I literally counted down the last 15 days, and so did my daughters. They would ask me on calls, ‘Mom, when are you coming?' It was very tough for me.”

The actor's candid confession highlights the challenges many working mothers face while managing their careers and family responsibilities.

Crediting Abhinav Shukla:

Rubina was full of praise for her husband Abhinav Shukla, crediting him for making it possible for her to pursue opportunities without worrying about things at home.

She said, “If I've been able to push myself so far, I want to give the entire credit to Abhinav. Having a supporitve partner makes your career a lot easier. Because if Abhinav hadn't contributed, it would have been very difficult for me. Because with twins, it's not about having two hands. It's almost like having eight hands.”

According to Rubina, Abhinav's support played a crucial role in helping her take on professional challenges while caring for their young daughters.

Battling Physical Challenges:

The actor also revealed that some of the stunts made her question whether she had returned to competitive television too soon after becoming a mother. She struggled with the loss of core strength following pregnancy, making several tasks particularly demanding.

During difficult moments, Abhinav became her biggest source of encouragement.

Rubina shared, “I used to cry many a times to him on the phone. He would say, ‘Rubina, it's mind over matter. Physically, two minutes, three minutes or five minutes, you have to really push it through.' But most of the time, it's all about how calm you are in a situation. It's all about that. And you can do it.”

Reality Television Ahead:

After successful stints on 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Laughter Chefs', Rubina says reality television has become her comfort zone. Speaking about her future plans, she revealed, “Reality space is something that has always kept me engaged throughout the year. And that's become the most comfortable space for me. In my future projects too, you will see me revolving around that only. So, as of now, I can say it's the reality space that you will see me.”

With her growing presence in the reality TV space, fans can expect to see more of Rubina in similar formats in the future.
