- Emotional conversation ends with reconciliation and a hug
Ram Kapoor extended a heartfelt apology to fellow contestant Pamala after a tense confrontation on 'Lock Upp' left her feeling intimidated and uncomfortable. Admitting that his behaviour had crossed a line, Ram acknowledged that he had not fully realised how aggressive he appeared during the incident. The emotional exchange eventually led to a reconciliation, with both contestants openly expressing their feelings and resolving their differences.
Emotional Apology: Ram Takes Responsibility
Seeking to make amends, Ram approached Pamala and expressed regret for his actions. “I have nothing more to say except how sorry I am," he said. Explaining why apologising mattered so much to him, the actor revealed that his son was one of the main reasons he wanted to address the situation publicly.
“There's a reason for that. One reason is my son. He's watching the show. If he saw his father talk aggressively to a woman like that, I want him to see that his father wants to do the right thing," Ram said.
He also stressed that he valued his bond with Pamala and hoped the incident would not affect their friendship in the future. “But there's a second reason. I want to be in touch with you in Dubai beyond the show as one of my Dubai friends, one of my gang. I don't want that to change. I think that mistakes amongst friends only make friendships stronger," he added.
Honest Conversation: Pamala Shares Her Feelings
While appreciating the apology, Pamala candidly explained why the incident had affected her deeply. She told Ram that she often felt unsupported by him despite always treating him with respect. “I just feel like you never take my side. Although in the beginning, I have always been respectful to you. I have never said anything wrong about you. If I have done something bad to you, or misbehaved, then I understand that you are behaving like this towards me," she said.

Pamala also reminded Ram of the standards she believed he should uphold. “You are a public figure. You are a man with class. You are educated. You come from a good family. You are similar to my background. I understand we are time-passing here, but you don't need to be like them just because you're hanging with them. This is not your level," she added.
Moment Of Reflection: What Went Wrong
During the conversation, Ram admitted that he had allowed himself to get influenced by another contestant. “Yesterday, because of Varun, I did get carried away," he confessed.
Pamala then described the confrontation from her perspective, explaining why it had frightened her. “Ramji, you've never been this angry with anybody, okay? You followed me all the way down the corridor. You were screaming in my face. You were loud, aggressive, and it was scary," she recalled.
Acknowledging her concerns, Ram admitted that controlling his aggression had been a challenge in the past. “I am well aware. I don't realise sometimes how aggressive I can be. It's come up in the past. Not with women. But with guys, it has come up. It's come up in the past once with my parents also. All I can do right now is apologise," he said.
Peace Restored: Contestants Move Forward
After accepting the apology, Pamala requested that Ram stay out of her future conflicts with other contestants. Ram immediately apologised once again and asked, “Can we hug it out?" The two eventually embraced, bringing an end to the tension between them.
The incident stems from a heated argument in which Ram allegedly followed Pamala into a corridor and confronted her aggressively. Fellow contestant Akanksha Chamola intervened during the altercation and reminded him that no woman should ever be made to feel uncomfortable. Their reconciliation has since emerged as one of the most emotional and talked-about moments from the ongoing season of 'Lock Upp'.
