Mira Rajput Reveals She Turned Down Offer To Invest In A Restaurant: "I Dont Drink Alcohol..."

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have long maintained that theirs is a strictly vegetarian, alcohol-free household—and it seems they're committed to those values even when business opportunities knock. Mira, who has carved out a space for herself in the wellness and beauty industry, recently revealed that she turned down a lucrative offer to invest in a restaurant simply because it clashed with her personal beliefs.

"I'm Very Particular About What I Consume"

Speaking at a panel hosted by Forbes India, Mira shared, “I'm a vegetarian, and I'm very particular about what I consume. I don't eat eggs, I don't drink, and that's just how I've always lived. When someone approached me with the idea of investing in a restaurant, I politely declined. I told them, ‘This doesn't align with my principles, but I wish you the very best.' You have to know who you are and what's right for you."

She further opened up about navigating public perception and staying grounded in her belief system despite being in the spotlight. “When you're in the public eye, everyone has an opinion. But I always try to make sure that the voice in my own head is the loudest. You have to know what your non-negotiables are—what you stand for and who you really are. That inner voice should never go quiet. It should be your biggest cheerleader, even when the world disagrees."

While Mira chose not to pursue the restaurant venture, many other celebrities have successfully entered the food and hospitality space. Shilpa Shetty, Gauri Khan, Virat Kohli, Malaika Arora, Asha Bhosale, and Bobby Deol are just a few of the stars who own restaurants that offer a range of cuisines, including non-vegetarian fare and alcohol.
