ED Summons YouTuber Elvish Yadav Over Money Laundering In Snake Venom Case

YouTuber Elvish Yadav continues to make headlines because of his snake venom case. On Wednesday the official sources said that the Enforcement Directorate has summoned 'Bigg Boss OTT 3' winner on July 23 for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug in parties hosted by him.

ED Summons YouTuber Elvish Yadav:

The central agency had registered the case in May and pressed charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after taking cognisance of an FIR and a charge sheet filed against Elvish Yadav and linked persons by police in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district.

As per the reports in PTI, the sources mentioned earlier Yadav was supposed to appear to appear this week before the ED at its Lucknow office but he requested deferment of the summons due to his scheduled foreign travel and professional commitments. He has now been asked to depose before the investigating officer of the ED on July 23, they said.

Rahul Fazilpuriya, a singer from Haryana allegedly linked to Elvish Yadav, was also questioned by the ED this week in the said case, they said. He may be called again.

About Elvish Yadav's Snake Venom Case Controversy:

Earlier in March this year, Elvish was arrested by Noida Police and was sent to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with a snake venom case. As per reports, during his judicial custody, Elvish reportedly mentioned the name of singer Fazilpuria. He had also admitted that he met all the arrested accused, including Rahul (snake charmer), at different rave parties and was acquainted with them.
 
Last year, based on a complaint filed by the People For Animals (PFA) organization, the Noida Police raided a banquet hall located in Sector 51 and arrested five people. The PFA in its FIR named Elvish and accused him of organizing rave parties in which they invite foreigners and arrange poisonous snakes.
