Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and her divorce earlier this year was headline news, but Dhanashree had remained quiet — until now. “It was very emotional for me and my family," Dhanashree shared. “I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given, even though you are so mentally prepared that it is going to happen, it was still so emotional. I literally started howling and crying in front of everybody. I cannot even express what I was feeling then."

She explained how she avoided the media frenzy and left through a back gate with her best friend. "I got out from the back gate because I didn't like that. It was just very sad; you don't want cameras all over your face. Humko kuch nahi bataana tha, I was wearing a normal t-shirt and jeans. I sat in the car, my best friend was there with me, and we were still trying to catch our breath. It was that shaky moment, especially when you know people will blame you only."

Yuzvendra Chahal Spoke About His Divorce:

Dhanashree's comments came just days after Yuzvendra Chahal shared his perspective on Raj Shamani's podcast, where he denied all cheating allegations. “When I was going through the divorce thing, people labelled me as a cheater. I have never cheated. You will not get a more loyal person than me. For my loved ones, I think from my heart. I have never asked, just given," Chahal said.

The couple filed for divorce in February 2024, with the separation finalised earlier this year. Post-split, Dhanashree faced online trolling, while Chahal is reportedly dating content creator RJ Mahvash.
