Asim Riaz Shuts Down 'Lock Upp 2' Wild Card Rumours; Says, "Bigg Boss Was My Last Reality Show"

Ever since 'Lock Upp 2' premiered on Netflix, rumours about new wildcard contestants have been making the rounds on social media. While former 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!' star Shilpa Shinde recently entered the show as a wildcard participant, reports soon began suggesting that 'Bigg Boss 13' fame Asim Riaz and 'Splitsvilla X6' contestant Ruru Thakur could be the next contestants to join the reality show.

However, Asim has now put an end to the speculation and clarified that he has no plans of entering 'Lock Upp 2'.

"Bigg Boss Was My Last Reality Show"

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Asim Riaz firmly denied rumours of his participation in the Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh-hosted show. Making his stance clear, he wrote, “Bigg Boss was my last reality show. Period.”

The statement quickly grabbed attention online, especially among fans who were excited about the possibility of seeing Asim return to television through a reality show format. With this clarification, Asim has effectively shut down reports claiming he would enter 'Lock Upp 2' as a wildcard contestant.

What About Ruru Thakur?

While Asim's participation has been ruled out, there is still uncertainty surrounding Ruru Thakur's rumoured entry. Reports regarding her joining the show remain unconfirmed.

Interestingly, several viral social media posts claim that Ruru is scheduled to attend an event in Vadodara on July 24. The development has led many fans to speculate that she may not be entering 'Lock Upp 2' as a wildcard contestant after all. However, neither Ruru nor the makers of the show have officially commented on the reports.

Recent Eliminations From ‘Lock Upp 2':

The reality show has witnessed multiple evictions in recent weeks. Among the latest contestants to exit the competition was Madhuri Jain Grover, wife of entrepreneur Ashneer Grover.

Madhuri and Akanksha Chaudhary were both voted out by fellow contestants. While Madhuri was eliminated, Akanksha was reportedly sent to a secret room, keeping her journey in the game alive. Before them, Riyaz Ali, Sunita Hujan, and Shresta Iyer were also evicted from the show.

As of now, the contestants continuing their journey on 'Lock Upp 2' include Akanksha Chamola, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Harshad Chopda, Pamala Serena, Ram Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, Shivangi Joshi, Shreya Kalra, Sufi Motiwala, Varun Yadav, and Yogesh Rawat.

While wildcard rumours continue to generate buzz among viewers, Asim Riaz's latest statement has made it clear that fans should not expect to see him entering the controversial reality show anytime soon.
