Apoorva Mukhija Says She Was Forced To Move Out Of Mumbai Home After 'IGL': "The Owner Told Me To Leave..."

Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid and now a contestant on 'The Traitors', opened up about facing eviction following 'India's Got Latent' controversy. She appeared alongside Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Ashish Chanchlani on the show, and soon after, the clip containing alleged obscenities led to FIRs against the panel members.

"The Owner Told Me To Leave..."

In an exclusive interview with Mashable India, Apoorva explained how the police visit triggered her landlord's backlash. “Because the cops came to my house to put up a notice and to summon me, the building management raised a complaint that ‘cops are coming to this building, it's wrong, that's why we don't allow bachelors, that's why we don't rent out to single women'. So somehow, I was single-handedly responsible for evacuating feminism out of that building. So, the owner told me to leave. I stayed in that house for only one year."

The fallout didn't end there. In an April vlog, Apoorva confessed she couldn't return home due to threats and fear. “I started reading my DMs and they were all graphic of how people want to rape me, throw acid and stuff like that," she revealed.

Apoorva Vs Uorfi Javed:

Apoorva recently made the headlines with her feud with Uorfi Javed. In the first episode of 'The Traitors', the two swore loyalty through a playful ‘Behen Code'. But things turned tense when Uorfi kept asking Apoorva why she was crying. Apoorva, overwhelmed, snapped, which didn't sit well with Uorfi. She later said Apoorva wasn't on her level professionally and should show her more respect.

Apoorva posted a YouTube video sharing her side of the story. She revealed that off-camera, Uorfi publicly insulted her, which left her shaken. Apoorva explained that before entering the show, she had an argument with her mother and was promised three phone calls home. But when she requested to call, she was denied, leading to her emotional breakdown. As Jannat Zubair comforted her privately, Apoorva asked her to keep it between them. When Uorfi questioned her about it, she said, “Not everything is about you, Uorfi."

Apoorva went on to describe what happened once the cameras were off. After the task ended, she said Uorfi called out to her, saying, “Bhch*d Apoorva idhar aao." Trying to stay calm, Apoorva replied, “Aaram se", which triggered Uorfi even more.
