Anshula Kapoor Says 'The Traitors' Triggered Memories Of Her Mother's Death: "I Have A Personal History..."

Anshula Kapoor has been making the headlines since her appearance on the reality show 'The Traitors'. Anshula was recently evicted from 'The Traitors' after the other contestants voted her out, assuming that she was the traitor among them. However, she turned out to be ‘innocent'.

Anshula Kapoor Is Out Of 'The Traitors':

After getting evicted, Anshula often spoke about how the show gave her major PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Kapoor also spoke about the moment that took her back to her mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor's, death.

"The Entire Experience Was Too Spooky"

Anshula said, “For me, it was the last mission that triggered it. I have a personal history with death. Kudos to the team honestly, with the way they did that mission. It was very realistic. The entire experience was too spooky. I literally went back to my mother's death, the day that she passed away. Some of the rituals were similar."

"Our Emotions Were Running High..."

Anshula's mental health went for a toss on the show. She further told us, “When you are in a captive environment like we were, you are highly pressurized. Our emotions were running high. You are also constantly second-guessing yourself. I was more easily triggered than I normally would have been. I am kinda glad I was evicted."

In one of the tasks, the competitors had to make their way through a sea of women dressed in red sarees, much like a scene from mourning during someone's death. This is the moment that triggered Anshula. Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor's mother, Mona Kapoor, Boney Kapoor's first wife, passed away in 2012.

'The Traitors' premiered on Prime Video on June 12 at 8 pm with the first three episodes. Since then, new episodes have been released every Thursday at the same time. The grand finale is set to premiere on July 3. Excitingly, the show has already been renewed for a second season.
