Ashnoor Kaur has grown up in the public eye, navigating the pressures of fame from a young age. Her stint on 'Bigg Boss' 19 brought an unexpected and deeply personal challenge to the fore. On the reality show, she faced body-shaming on national television, an experience she describes as one of the most difficult phases of her life. Speaking about the incident, she says, "I would never wish anyone to go through something like that. I shared my journey inside the house not to defend myself but because I knew there would be others going through similar experiences, and if my story could help them, why not?"
"We Have Unrealistic Beauty Standards..."
She adds, "We have unrealistic beauty standards, especially in our industry. Teenagers compare themselves to something that does not even exist and try to achieve unattainable looks. Beauty shouldn't be linked to a certain weight or body measurement. Everyone deserves to love themselves with all their flaws.”

"My Body Tends To Gain Weight Under Stress..."
Ashnoor's struggles with body image began long before 'Bigg Boss'. "When I was working on a project, after the telecast, I was told I looked heavy and needed to reduce my weight. I was 15 or 16, shooting 13 hours a day, dieting, and doing everything right. My body tends to gain weight under stress, and the diet was not working. I even tried a water diet for three days straight. I avoided sleeveless clothes and stopped meeting friends because I felt self-conscious. Later, I realised I couldn't do crash diets and punish my body. I had to first learn to love myself and then work on my body. This understanding has also made me a better artiste."
During her stay in 'Bigg Boss', Ashnoor was noted for her maturity and composure inside the house. Soon after she stepped out, she shared with us, “The values and morals my parents have instilled in me shaped the way I handled things inside the house. Also, being on sets from a young age teaches you to grow up faster. You interact with people from different walks of life every day, and you learn about the real world before others your age do."
