Nikki Tamboli and Prince Narula are currently seen in the reality show, 'The 50'. The duo has gotten into a feud after Prince allegedly made a body-shaming remark against Nikki. Nikki's team publicly called out Prince, questioning his conduct as a “so-called husband, father, and public figure." Her team even mentioned his one-year-old daughter while making a point. Now, Prince's team has released an official statement and clarified the remarks made by him in the show.

Prince Narula's Team Issues A Statement In The Body-shaming Row:

Narula's team clarified that the comment he made was in a light-hearted manner, and the intent was not to hurt anyone. The statement read, “The humor that was shared happened in a light, spontaneous moment where everyone in the room was laughing, teasing, and even poking fun at themselves, including Prince. The intent was never to single anyone out or to hurt, insult, or demean. It was one of those playful exchanges that naturally happen when people are comfortable and the atmosphere is easy. What is important to acknowledge is context and timing. The jokes were made openly in the house and were not objected to at the time. If something truly felt offensive or unacceptable, it could have been addressed then, or even by her team outside the house."

The statement said that nearly twelve days went by before the matter was raised as a serious concern, even though it is widely known that contestants are kept informed about what is being said about them. The lack of any reaction during that period suggested that it was understood in the spirit it was intended as a light-hearted moment rather than a personal attack.

"Let's Keep The Conversation Honest, Fair, And Grounded..."

Prince's team slammed Nikki for dragging his daughter, who is just one year old. As per the portal, the team further shared, "We respect feelings, and if someone later feels uncomfortable, that deserves to be expressed. But turning a casual, mutual exchange into a major controversy after so much time, and reframing it as something malicious, distorts the reality of what happened. What is truly not right is taking this discussion further by dragging a family, especially a one-year-old child, into it. Making statements about how someone's daughter might be spoken about in the future crosses a line that should never be crossed. Disagreements and hurt feelings should remain between the adults involved and within the context of the moment, not be projected onto innocent family members. There is a clear difference between shared humour in a group and deliberate disrespect. This was the former, not the latter. Let's keep the conversation honest, fair, and grounded in the full context rather than escalating it into something it was never meant to be."

What Did Nikki Tamboli's Team Say?

Nikki Tamboli's team shared the clip from the show and wrote, “So-called husband, father, public figure. If someone spoke about your daughter's body like this, would you laugh too? This isn't a strategy. This isn't a game. This is body-shaming done quietly, the coward's way. Cameras don't cancel character. Influence doesn't excuse disrespect. Mocking someone behind their back isn't power. If you have something to say, say it to the face. Behind-the-back mocking isn't strength – it's fear pretending to be confidence. And influence without responsibility? That's not leadership. That's a failure. That's a weakness with an audience."

'The 50' is streaming on JioHotstar and Colors, and it features popular faces from different walks of life.
