Chef Sneha Singhi Upadhaya has shared an easy barbatti salad recipe that is full of flavour, easy to make, and healthy too.
Simple Ingredients from Your Kitchen
You don't need anything fancy to make this salad. Most of the items are already in your kitchen. The main vegetable used is barbatti, also called long beans. Along with this, some onion, garlic, pineapple, and a few sauces are added to give the salad a tasty twist.
How to Cook the Salad
First, heat a little olive oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, green chilies, and garlic. Cook them for about a minute. Then, add the barbatti, some salt, and pineapple pieces. Mix everything well. Now flavoring time—add oregano, chili flakes, a spoonful of ketchup, and mustard sauce or kasundi. Simmer this for 3 to 4 minutes until everything gets well mixed.
Time to Garnish and Serve
Once done, turn off the flame. Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds at the top. This adds a fresh and colorful appearance. You can eat this salad warm or even at room temperature.
