Everyone's going to Bali, Thailand, or Vietnam these days. But what if you could visit Europe on the same budget? That's exactly what travel influencer Akshita found when she travelled to Armenia — a place most people still don't talk about.
She says this trip felt like a hidden gem. The vibe? Totally European. But the prices? Almost like being back home. Flights took about 7 hours from India and cost them ₹30,000 or so, and guess what — the visa was just ₹800. Super easy e-visa process too.
Armenia Feels Like Europe, But Costs Like India
Accommodation? Around ₹4,000 a night for two people. Food? ₹300 a meal. Taxis? Dirt cheap. You can actually explore this country on ₹50K-₹60K total — flights, stay, food, sightseeing... everything.
But what really blew her away was the capital city, Yerevan. It's older than Rome. And from the city centre, you get these magical views of Mount Ararat. It didn't even feel real.
What to See in 5 Days
You can cover a lot in a short trip:
Day 1: Chill in Yerevan – Republic Square, Cascade, Vernissage
Day 2: Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, and Symphony of Stones
Day 3: Khor Virap, Areni wine tasting, and Noravank
Day 4: Lake Sevan, Sevanavank, and Dilijan forests
Day 5: Amberd Fortress + Mount Aragats drive
Bonus: Visit Georgia Too
If you've got time, you can also cross over to Georgia — Tbilisi is just 4.5 hours by road. One flight, two countries, and still cheap overall.
Armenia isn't crowded yet, it's crazy affordable, and honestly? One of the best travel choices she has ever made. Give it a shot before everyone else finds out.
