Umar Riaz Defends Asim Riaz Amid Himanshi Khurana Controversy: "Nobody Forced Her..."

The controversy surrounding Himanshi Khurana and Asim Riaz has intensified after Himanshi alleged that her former boyfriend wanted her to convert to Islam during their relationship. While Asim has already denied the claims, his brother Umar Riaz has now come forward, strongly defending him and questioning the timing and intent behind Himanshi's remarks.

Speaking exclusively, Umar dismissed the conversion allegations and accused Himanshi of attempting to gain publicity years after the couple's breakup.

Umar Reacts To Conversion Allegations:

Rejecting Himanshi's claims, Umar said, “This was all pre-planned. After three years, you come on a show with a friend and did not say anything good about the relationship. They were together for four years.”

While admitting that he may not know everything that happened within the relationship, Umar stressed that Himanshi was familiar with Asim's family and their lifestyle. “I am still the third person. Not everything inside the relationship I know, but I would say she has come to our house, she has stayed there, met my father, my mother. She has seen that we belong to a conservative Muslim family. My father prays five times. My mother wears a hijab, she covers her head. She has met my relatives. She has come on Eid every time. She knows we are not a very liberal, rich family. We are a conservative family and a middle-class family, and we live by some rules and regulations. That's it,” he said.

Questioning the allegation further, Umar added, “Do you think anybody can force her? I don't think anybody can.”

Umar Says Religion Was Not The Only Issue:

The former 'Bigg Boss 15' contestant argued that reducing a four-year relationship to a religious dispute was unfair. “I feel Himanshi should be a politician. The way she has described the relationship is as though everything was centered around religion. It was four years of relationship,” Umar said.

When asked if religion played any role in the breakup, he replied, “Breakups can happen on a lot of grounds, when people are no longer compatible and problems just arise. I would just say maybe, because they wanted to settle, religion can be a problem.”

However, he maintained that there was never any pressure on Himanshi to convert. “We do not force anybody,” Umar stated while highlighting his family's inclusive outlook.

‘Cheap Tactic' To Gain Attention:

Umar further claimed that Himanshi's recent interaction with Paras Chhabra was orchestrated for publicity. “All I'm saying is that a relationship can have a lot of problems. But yes, you could have said, ‘Okay, religion, was there a problem'. Whatever she felt, I respect that. But just portraying him like like he wanted to convert her (is wrong),” he said.

Concluding his remarks, Umar alleged, “This was pre planned only to get attention. She would just come out every year or then so that she gets some limelight which she doesn't get in Chandigarh. That's a very cheap tactic of getting attention and work in the industry and it doesn't last long. That's it.”

Meanwhile, Himanshi Khurana was unavailable for comment when contacted regarding Umar's statements.
